KLANS sets a small number of cookies it cannot run without, and nothing else unless you say so here. We run no advertising cookies and no tracking pixels, and we do not sell or share your data with data brokers. Whatever you choose is remembered on this device for 365 days, and you can come back and change it — including withdrawing something you accepted earlier — at any time.

Your session cookie (keeps you signed in), the CSRF token that protects every form against cross-site request forgery, and the cookie that remembers the choice you make here. KLANS cannot work without them, so they are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in delivering a working, secure service rather than on your consent.

Local browser storage used to remember a choice you already made - for example that you dismissed the "Install KLANS" offer, so it stops coming back. Nothing here identifies you, nothing is sent to our server, and nothing leaves this device. Declining costs you only the memory: the offer returns on your next visit.

Videos posted on KLANS are hosted by YouTube, Dailymotion and Twitch. Playing one means your browser contacts that platform, which then receives your IP address and can set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. Without this, those players are replaced by a placeholder and nothing is requested from them until you click it - so you can still watch anything, one video at a time, instead of contacting three companies on every page.

What each choice changes

Nothing here is a promise about a cookie we might set later. Each category switches a specific thing on or off the moment you save:

  • Strictly necessary — your session, the CSRF token on every form, and the cookie that remembers this choice. These are the only cookies KLANS sets without asking, and the site does not function without them.
  • Preferences — with this off, KLANS writes nothing to your browser's local storage. The practical effect is that a dismissed "Install KLANS" offer comes back on your next visit, because there is nowhere to remember that you dismissed it.
  • External media — with this off, YouTube, Dailymotion and Twitch players are replaced by a placeholder and your browser never contacts those platforms until you click one. You can still watch every video; you just decide one at a time instead of on every page load.

Withdrawing consent

Withdrawing is as easy as giving: the Cookie preferences link in the footer of every page brings you back here, and unticking a box takes effect as soon as you save. Withdrawing does not make the earlier processing unlawful, but it stops it going forward. You can also clear cookies for this site in your browser, which erases your stored choice — KLANS will then ask again on your next visit.
