How to start your own clan

Create a clan, tag the games you play, set up roles, and start recruiting.

1. Create it

Open the clans page and use Create a clan. You need a name and a description. The description is what people read on the game hub before they decide whether to look further, so say what you play, when, and who you are looking for — not a slogan.

2. Tag your games

This is the step that makes a clan findable. A clan tagged with a game appears in that game hub's clan list, which is where most members arrive from. Tag every game you genuinely play; a clan listed against a game it never touches wastes everybody's time, starting with yours.

3. Set up roles before you need them

Beyond owner, a clan has admins, moderators, event managers and members. Promote an event manager early: they can schedule and run events without needing you awake. Role templates let you define the participant roles your events reuse — tank, healer, DPS, or whatever your game calls them — once instead of per event.

4. Give people something to turn up to

5. Keep the profile current

Avatar, banner, region, language, voice platform and recruiting requirements all show on your public profile and all affect whether the right people apply. A clan page that answers "would I fit here?" gets fewer applications and better ones.
