How do I download my data?

Settings, then Your data, then Download my data. You get one JSON file holding everything KLANS stores about your account: your profile, posts, comments, messages you sent, clans, events, uploads and settings. Your password and any connected-service tokens are credentials rather than data about you, and are the only things left out.

What happens to a clan I own if I delete my account?

The clan keeps running and ownership stays with a deleted member until an administrator reassigns it. If somebody else should run it, hand it over before you delete your account.

What is the difference between muting and blocking?

Muting is quiet and one-way: their posts leave your feed and nothing else changes, and they are not told. Blocking stops contact in both directions - they cannot message you, send you a friend request or interact with your content.

Who can see my profile?

You choose in Settings under Privacy and Feed. A public profile can be read by anyone, including people who are not signed in, and its name appears on clan rosters and event lists. A friends-only or private profile is shown to other members according to that setting and is withheld from anonymous visitors entirely.

Your account, your data

Control who sees your profile, choose what KLANS may notify you about, download everything we hold about you, or delete your account.

Everything below is in Settings, and you do not have to ask anybody for any of it.

1. Who can see you

Under Privacy & Feed you choose your profile visibility, who may send you a friend request, and who may message you.

Public — anyone can read your profile, including people who are not signed in, and your name appears on the clan rosters and event lists you are part of.
Friends only or private — shown to other members according to that setting, and withheld from anonymous visitors entirely. A search engine is told not to index it.

The same screen controls whether your activity feeds into recommendations, and whether your friends' posts appear in your home feed.

2. Quieting people down

Two different tools, and the difference matters:

Mute is quiet and one-way. Their posts leave your feed, nothing else changes, and they are not told. Manage muted players in Settings.
Block stops contact in both directions. They cannot message you, send you a friend request or interact with your content.

If somebody is breaking the Community Guidelines, report them as well — blocking protects you, reporting is what reaches a moderator.

3. What KLANS may notify you about

Under Notifications there is a row per category — social activity, messages, clans, events and moderation — and a choice per channel: in the app, browser push, and e-mail. Browser push is off until you turn it on for a given browser, and you can revoke it from the same screen.

4. Download everything we hold about you

Settings → Your data → Download my data. You get a single JSON file: your account and profile, roles, privacy and notification settings, connected logins, devices, games and genres, friends, blocks, mutes, clans, posts, comments, likes, saved posts, galleries, guides, Looking For Play adverts, events organised and attended, conversations, the messages you sent, notifications, uploads, reports you filed, appeals and your own moderation record.

Your password and your connected-service tokens are not in it. Those are credentials rather than data about you, and a file in a Downloads folder is the wrong place for a working key to your Discord account. You can take a copy as often as you need one.

5. Delete your account

Settings → Your data → Delete my account. You confirm by typing your username and, if your account has a password, entering it. It happens immediately and it cannot be undone.

Erased: your profile and e-mail address, every upload, your galleries, connected logins, devices, preferences, friends, blocks, mutes, saved posts, likes and event RSVPs.

Kept, with your name removed: posts, comments, guides, events you organised and messages you sent. Other members took part in those threads, so they stay readable and are shown as from a deleted member. Moderation records are kept for as long as the Privacy Policy says.

One thing to do first: if you own a clan, hand it over. The clan keeps running and ownership stays with a deleted member until an administrator reassigns it.
